Latosa Escrima Drills:
Short Power Drill:
We will start this drill with no stick.
First find a corner or a wall space to work with. Stand facing the wall at arm distance with your knees bent and feet together.
Strike with the four basic hits (Butt Hits) one arm at a time with the arms bent
one inch from the wall. All hits are in a circlular motion ( like a hammer
fist strike ) with power stopping for half a second one inch from the
wall and returning to the starting position.
Second drill is the same but with the one stick and with two handed grip
like if it was a heavy weapon. Third is the same drill with two sticks.
All the drills are with the feet together and knees bent.
At
the peak of the power of your hit, your hand, elbow, shoulder, hip, knee, and
foot are pointing at the target. Do 1 x 3 min round and 1min rest
between each drill and one 3 min round full speed mixing all three
drills together.

Lower East Side Park
I vote we meet at LES park by the fountain. It seemed like a fairly relaxed environment. I can make it there at maybe 5:45 or 6:00p. Or if I skip lifting, anytime after 4:30p.
