In a real all out attack or a street fight it is hard
to predict how it will start or end. One of the transition of fighting distances that we
teach in our programs is Elbow attacks, which are applied in very close range
distance, to attacks like the Head, neck, spine and face of the opponent. An experienced practitioner of the Wing Tzun system
would never get hold of an opponent with his embracing arms in the close-body
condition. In Wing Tzun there are three angles to apply an Elbows attack, and that is Downward, horizontal and diagonal (Up, Down, across). Elbows are apply in a distance of a foot between the Wing Tzun practitioner and the opponent, it is unwise to launch an elbow attack when your opponent can only be reached with the fist, or before your elbow touches your opponent, his fist will hit you first. Our student program allows the student to practice applying his/her Wing Tzun skills in a realistic manner without the risk of injury.
